Notably, he served as the Personal Assistant to the Special Adviser Innovation to the Vice President during President Muhammadu Buhari's administration from 2019 to 2023.

In October 2021, Hon. Ayo was elected as the Ondo State APC Youth Leader, marking a pivotal moment in his political career. Just two years later, on October 16, 2023, he was sworn in as the Minister of State for Youth of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Before his ministerial appointment, he had already carved a niche for himself in various capacities. His roles ranged from serving as the Site Administrator/Engineer at Renz Nigeria Limited to being the Director of Business at TEHUB. Notably, he played a crucial part in the IDP/NSIP NSIO as a Field Officer from 2020 to 2021, showcasing his commitment to humanitarian causes. Hon. Ayo's involvement in political organisations is extensive, including serving as the Southwest Co-coordinator for the Asiwaju Grassroot Foundation (AGF) and as the Ondo State Coordinator for All Progressive Youth Forum (APYF) from 2018 to 2023. 

His contributions extended to the ICT realm, where he served as the Former ICT Director for the APC from 2015 to 2018. An instrumental figure in various committees and campaigns, Hon. Ayo's leadership was further acknowledged when he assumed the role of Deputy Director Presidential Campaign Council Youth Southwest in 2023.
